At the crossroads of your escapades between Toulouse, Quercy, Rouergue, Albigeois, Aveyron and Cordes, this charming little medieval village will not fail to attract attention.
Whether you are on foot, by bike or by motorbike, this small medieval village offers a stopover between two destinations.
On the road of the dovecotes and the gorges of Aveyron, it would be a shame to miss its unusual architecture. Indeed, Milhars is built “in a snail” shape and its horseshoe-shaped ramparts, its arcades and small terraces soothe the hurried visitor.
Nicknamed the "Village of Walls", Milhars can be glimpsed through the Porte du Ravelin or the Porte Haute. Its feudal castle restored in 1630 installed on a promontory and its dovecotes are not open to the public. But nothing will prevent the walker from observing them with a careful eye from the outside.
