In Giroussens, a passionate family for whom having a green thumb is nothing more than an art of living created the Jardins des Martels. An English-style floral park of 35000 m², classified as a Remarkable Garden, inviting you to stroll and breathe in the sweet natural scents of the species that flourish there. Open from April to early November, strolling there is an excellent way to follow the seasons.

A poetic and exotic escape between water lilies and daturas

Start by following the 300m canal bordered by multi-coloured flowerbeds which takes you to a jungle where an exotic greenhouse populated with tropical water lilies and daturas comes to life.
When you arrive at the rainbow garden with its blue, pink, red and yellow flowerbeds, you will almost feel like you have crossed continents without leaving the Tarn.
Its shady side is particularly appealing to walkers and dreamers looking for freshness in the summer months. Between banana plantations, lotus temple, fallow deer, Senegalese goats, angoras and Ouessant sheep, you will be well surrounded at the Jardins de Martels.

Stroll barefoot in the grass to reconnect with nature

The weather is nice and mild… To enjoy the 7 hectares covered by the Jardins des Martels even more, let's take off our shoes! In the shade of the tall trees, the first part of the visit takes us between the small canal and the rose garden. Here, the pleasure is not only to contemplate the garden, its flowerbeds and lawns from the outside, it's to immerse yourself in it and feel the grass tickle your feet! All around, the varied vegetation allows a vast biodiversity to develop. We hear the beating of insects' wings and the croaking of frogs at the end of the day, we smell the sweet scent of flowers. A perfect romantic setting for a getaway for two when spring comes.

Exotic garden

Change of scenery guaranteed!
Exotic greenhouse, Balinese Jogglo, Lotus Temple, pagoda… Just thinking about it makes you travel. Throughout the walk through the plant beds and perennials, you come across curious elements that evoke Asia. You could almost dream of being on the other side of the world! Caught up in our daydreams, let's not forget to sharpen our gaze to enjoy the wonders that surround us.

A green paradise for children and parents

The labyrinth

Do you dare to face the labyrinth? Yes, once you have passed the first part of the visit, you have to earn your passage for the rest! Carefully carved out of the bamboo, a labyrinth stands before you! Let yourself be guided by your instinct, and perhaps you will find the exit from this green trap?

Animals in the wild

Phew! Here you are back in the open air on the vast lawns of the garden. “Beheheh”… now that’s a funny sound! No need to go far to find its origin. A goat is staring at us insistently. And it’s not alone in its enclosure, here’s another one, then another one! Walking along the large paths, we immerse ourselves in a different landscape: the plants have given way to large spaces sheltering animals in freedom or semi-freedom.

Fawns, does, llamas and other Highland cows, everyone is there!
Running through the alleys of various species, the Lotus Temple stands before you. To cross the pool that surrounds it, jump on the rocks strewn with aquatic plants. A real playground awaits you!
