The Boissel family, artisan winemakers in Gaillac in the South West, will introduce you to authentic and sincere wines that respect organic farming. Duras, Braucol, Mauzac, Loin de l'œil….
"Located on the first limestone terroirs of the Plateau Cordais, in Gaillac (wines of the southwest), the vines of the Domaine de Brousse have been worked by the Boissel family for 4 generations. It was my great-grandfather, Florian Boissel, who founded the estate in 1921. Then 3 generations of winegrowers have succeeded one another at the Domaine de Brousse. Indeed, since 1981, my parents Susanne and Philippe have worked every day to maintain this family heritage that is dear to them, and have never stopped developing their winegrowing profession to create wines with a strong personality.
So I am, Amandine, the 4th generation. It was in 2016, after 10 years of professional wanderings in Paris, that I decided to open a new chapter in the history of the estate. I made the choice to convert the 10 ha of the family estate to organic farming. Tradition, experimentation and freedom are the identity of the estate.
The wines have always been made simply, without chemical additives, and very few sulfites to allow the terroir to express itself without artifice. The commitment to organic farming is the natural path towards this quest for purity and respect for our vineyard.
Since 2019, the estate has been organically farmed, an obvious path for the whole family.”
