Lisle-sur-tarnEvery third weekend in September, it's THE Polar meeting on the covered square of Lisle-sur-Tarn. We come here to meet writers and enthusiasts of the first literary genre in France and around the world! With a theme and a panel of authors renewed each year, this festival which also gives pride of place to winegrowers is always a discovery.
Big names in Polar
Since its launch in 2015, The festival welcomes renowned authors came to present their latest work and chat with the many enthusiasts present. Olivier Norek, Jean-Luc Bizien, Daniel Pennac, Henri Lœvenbruck or Anne-Marie Métailié are perfect examples, and they are far from being alone.
Each year, around forty French and international authors makes up the festival panel.
Take the opportunity to meet them and listen to them during the many round tables and cafes thrillers that mark these two days of celebration!

It's up to you to lead the investigation!
The highlight of the festival, the traditional Murder Party will turn you into real detectives! Stopwatch in hand, you have two hours to solve a murder. So, who is the murderer? Beware of false pretenses and clues that are not always as obvious as they seem.
To participate, prior registration is required and is usually open from the end of August. Don't delay, many other budding Hercule Poirots are in the starting blocks.

September is the grape harvest
Lisle-sur-Tarn is at the heart of the Gaillac vineyards, you only have to cycle a few kilometres around the fortified town to see vines in all directions. So naturally, the winegrowers are associated with these polar harvests! Throughout the weekend, several Lisle estates have a stand on the square and will be delighted to let you taste their beverage which strangely recalls the colour of blood… Normal, when we talk about polar!
