We all have memories of our ancestors or those they told us, juicy anecdotes of the grape harvests of yesteryear and its famous closing feast.
The Vayssette family offers you the opportunity to take a trip back in time, to the time of the old-fashioned grape harvests. Lots of laughter and conviviality on the program for this wonderful day.

Domaine Vayssette is a family business where two generations combine their know-how to give the best of themselves in the production of Gaillac wines. 26 hectares of vines make up the vineyard whose production is governed by the charter of Independent Winegrowers.
10:00 a.m. – Over a welcome coffee, the winemaker will introduce you and prepare you for the day’s activities.
Guided tour of the estate: you will walk through the vines to discover the different grape varieties cultivated, the cultivation methods enriched with a thousand and one anecdotes told with passion by the winemaker. Continue with the discovery of the winery and the winemaking processes developed on this property.
Guided tasting in the cellar.
12:30 p.m. – Traditional winemaker’s lunch served at the estate, accompanied by the estate’s vintages.
14:30 p.m. – Introduction to grape harvesting*: the winemaker will introduce you to the different techniques for preparing the vine for the grape harvest. Each participant will be given the perfect grape harvester's kit (basket, pruning shears, apron, etc.). Situational training in the vineyards under the valuable advice of the winemakers, continuation of the grape harvesting processes in the cellar. Thus, you will not escape the crushing of the grapes with your feet, in the old-fashioned way, in order to extract the first must from the grapes, an irresistible well-being session, you will see... Tasting of the first juices and presentation of the "apprentice grape harvester" diploma.
17:00 p.m. – End of the day.
*This activity is possible from the end of August to the end of October.
