In the heart of Tarn, TRIFYL takes visitors on a journey through environmental issues related to waste. Discover how your household waste is transformed into the energy of the future or recycled objects, and learn how to reduce their quantity.
“Come and discover the Renewable Energy Center, located in Labessière-Candeil: a unique industrial site in France which recycles household waste from residents of Tarn, part of Haute-Garonne and Hérault.
A 1h30 guided tour on the issues surrounding sorting, recycling and waste reduction awaits you. You will discover the right actions and technologies implemented to make the most of our everyday waste and our kitchen waste: process, composting, production and injection of biomethane.
After a time in the educational room where you will learn more about the activities of the union and its many facilities, the waste sorting/recovery plant and its control room will be revealed to you. The visit will continue with a bus tour of the site to discover the operation of this state-of-the-art industrial tool and the bioreactor.
A team of guides welcomes all types of audiences: families, schools (from 7 years old), elected officials, professionals, foreign delegations.
This visit can be completed by that of the Brugeria sorting center, in Labruguière near Castres.
