Le Rivel

Giroussens, an old fortified town founded at the end of the 13th century around a castle overlooking the valley, was before the Revolution a small prosperous town thanks to the activity of many potters established at the edge of the forest, using a privilege granted to the inhabitants to take wood from the forest to fuel their kilns. From this local industry there remain some remarkable pieces that can be discovered in particular at the Ceramic Center of Giroussens.

Everything has been thought of at Rivel for a peaceful holiday: quality of services, generous volumes, a beautiful terrace for pleasant summer evenings and a huge garden, not forgetting the indoor bowling alley and of course the beautiful swimming pool, just for you!

Opposite the entrance door, a park with a granite table in the shade of three large plane trees for pleasant outdoor meals. On the south side, the kitchen opens onto a large terrace from where you can admire the Agout valley and the village of Saint Lieux located below.
On either side of the access road, a plantation of trees (holm or downy oaks, field maples, umbrella pines) has been carried out over 4000 m².

* The cottage

– Living room with TV and a fireplace that will enhance your winter evenings

– Beautiful kitchen with dining table equipped with an American fridge with freezer, Senseo® pod coffee maker and filter coffee maker, 2 toasters, microwave, kettle, oven, dishwasher, raclette / pierrade machine, hand blender, electric mixer.
Behind the kitchen, laundry room with sink, washing machine and maintenance equipment

– Four large bedrooms:
– all equipped with two 90x190cm beds per room
– a bedroom is located on the ground floor of the cottage, next to the living room
– three bedrooms located on the upper floor of the gîte

– A bathroom with double sink, shower and bathtub located on the ground floor. Separate toilet on the ground floor
– A second bathroom located upstairs with sink and bathtub. Separate toilet upstairs


*The Annex
From the outdoor terrace, the annex completes the gîte.
The annex consists of a small living room with a kitchen (oven, sink, filter coffee maker, etc.) as well as a dining table for two people and a television.
Upstairs, the fifth bedroom with two single beds also 90x190cm and an adjoining bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.



*The exteriors

Several terraces adorn the cottage.
– South terrace, with a panoramic view of the Agout valley and the village of Giroussens; located in front of the gîte kitchen with charcoal barbecue and gas barbecue/plancha with part of the covered terrace
– The small terrace of the Annex with its table and “bistro” chairs. Located next to the South terrace, allowing them to be connected together or isolated to enjoy a moment in the annex
– North Terrace, cooler and therefore appreciated on very hot days. It has a ping-pong table and table football; but also 10 bicycles which are at your disposal to allow you to ride around the village of Giroussens

The Games Hangar: equipped with lighting for the evenings, located a few meters from the cottage, it is the perfect place for a game of badminton, putting up a few basketball hoops or even playing a game of pétanque!

The swimming pool measures 11 x 5 m with a progressive depth of 0,90 cm to 1,70 m. Solarium and outdoor shower.
