La Maison de Prat Coutel

The cottage is nestled in the heart of the Gaillac vineyards, the owners are winegrowers themselves. The estate is less than 2km from the cottage with 11 ha of vines worked organically to offer AOP Gaillac wine.
Wine in the Tarn is quite a story! You are in a thousand-year-old vineyard since the first traces of vines appear in the 6th century.

You can stroll through the picturesque streets of the many villages and hilltop bastides in the surrounding area (Puycelsi, Castelnau), discover the rich historical heritage of the region, taste the estate's wines, or indulge in outdoor activities. The Aiguelèze leisure center is less than 4km away with a golf club, a water playground, canoe and paddle rental.

** THE COTTAGE **

The Maison de Prat Coutel is a family home from 1901. Adjoining the owners who live on site, each has their own independent entrance and is not overlooked.

Ground floor:
– open kitchen with dining table, fully equipped: dishwasher, oven, toaster, kettle, filter coffee maker and Nespresso capsule coffee maker, microwave, fridge with freezer
– comfortable separate living room with TV and board games,
– room accessible to people with reduced mobility with double bed and adjoining bathroom (grab bars)
– separate toilet accessible to people with reduced mobility, and laundry room with washing machine, second fridge-freezer and cleaning equipment.

Upstairs :
– bedroom with double bed and small desk,
– master bedroom with double bed and an extendable bed for children (ideal for children under 10, which can be transformed into a 90x190cm bed) and adjoining shower room,
– the children’s bedroom (the former grape harvesters’ bedroom) with 3 twin single beds and a double bed,
– bathroom with large shower, toilet and double sink.

The exterior:
– Shaded terrace with garden furniture, a barrel with bar stool, and an offset parasol.

– Approximately 500m² of private garden with shaded area under the trees, and picnic tables for adults and a table for children, gas plancha.

– Private swimming pool of 4m x 5m with steps on the side and small beach, flat bottom of 1,50m, tarpaulin with bars. Swimming pool open from the beginning of May to the end of October.

All double beds are 140x90cm and single beds are 90x190cm. No rental of sheets or towels, remember to bring your own.
– Electricity: billing of excess kWh on meter reading.

A reinforced socket for electric vehicles is available at the gîte with actual billing based on meter reading.

The end-of-stay cleaning service (value €100) is included in the rental price.
