La Gaudane

Very large, totally atypical gîte, from 2 to more than 20 people (and up to 26, or even 30 when there are children and teenagers), where everything is possible. Intelligently transformed, La Gaudane primarily accommodates groups that can be groups of friends as well as families who like to meet up with brothers and sisters, cousins ​​and children, or even between several generations (we regularly accommodate four generations).

What makes La Gaudane special is that this welcome is based on the layout of three holiday cottages (plus adjoining sleeping areas), completely unique, rented primarily together, but which can also be rented separately.

La Gaudane, which was built in the 19th century, was in fact a factory and more precisely the first and most imposing embroidery factory in Cordes and the most important in the south of France (at the end of the 19th century, around a hundred people, nuns, workers and workers worked there in the middle of a rural area). From its initial function, in addition to the apparent structure of stone and metal, it benefits from large spaces and wide openings, rare things in an old stone house in an even older village that also retains its historical image. During the restoration, these spaces were preserved and of course the openings. Spacious is therefore one of the first qualifiers that can be retained concerning these lodgings.

But that's not all. These spaces have been redesigned with the participation of art students or interior designers who have stayed there for over ten years now, offering today vacation spots with different personalities, extremely pleasant, because in a group, each entity of the group remains a member while having an intimacy favorable to the change of scenery provided by this 21th century place and its initial use, the spirit of which has been preserved. La Gaudane can thus accommodate XNUMX people, or even a little more if necessary with its garden (also pleasant as well as surprising, its flowers being those of a vegetable garden without specific places and everywhere present, in pots, in vases, in clumps, occupying the space that the fruit trees do not occupy). Priority is therefore given to these groups, because more than any other place, La Gaudane is a real paradise for them.

However, these groups generally book very early, we know, in the two months preceding a given week, if a group has booked or not and if the answer is no, then we take the more classic reservations for 2 people, for 4, but also 6, even 8 or 10 people, knowing in this case that the tenants may end up sharing the common areas, and games and swimming pool with another tenant, each obviously having their own apartment. The price indicated corresponds to a configuration. The group configuration of 15 people, distributed according to a certain adult/child ratio. But the simplest thing is to make contact. In the case where the spaces are rented individually, they are again different and it is best to get in touch. To be considered as a group and therefore have priority and be sure to be the only tenants at La Gaudane (apart, of course, from the owner's family who are always present to meet your needs, questions, provide information or help you out), there must be at least 15 people. If there are fewer than 15 of you and you still want to be the only tenants, it is still possible with 14 or less, but you should know that in this case the 15-person rate will apply.
