At Casa Guillarmou, nestled in the heart of the Castelnau de Montmiral valley, we believe that it is possible to enjoy a holiday while respecting the environment. That is why we have taken concrete measures to ensure that your stay is both comfortable and sustainable. The house, built entirely of stone, has been equipped with reinforced insulation, made with ecological materials. These choices make it possible to limit energy consumption while maintaining a pleasant temperature in all seasons.
For heating and air conditioning, we have opted for reversible air-to-air heat pumps, which are not only efficient but also environmentally friendly. We have also equipped the house with LED lamps, known for their low energy consumption, in order to minimise the carbon footprint of the cottage.
Waste sorting is also a major focus of our commitment. We provide dedicated areas to encourage our visitors to recycle and reduce waste. In addition, we have installed water pressure and flow regulators to optimize water consumption and avoid any waste.
Our pool is no exception: its dome-shaped shelter helps reduce water loss through evaporation, while maintaining an ideal temperature, thus reducing the need for heating. Double-glazed windows also contribute to the overall energy performance of the house.
