Sabiou is a former farm, on the bank of the Aveyron river, river that has dug its bed between the Causse de la Madeleine and the first foliages of the forest of la Grésigne. The gîte has also been set up in the former barn, with a lovely view over the chalk cliffs. The river is right there, at the end of the field, to get refreshed in summer or go angling. The more sporty types will enjoy touring the numerous hiking paths on foot or on mountain bike, criss-crossing the Causse, or getting initiated to rock-climbing or speleology. For lovers of patrimony and ancient stones, the choice of visits is huge : Bruniquel and its castle, the fortress of Penne, the perched village of Puycelsi, Bastide of Saint-Antonin, washing places and mills...
