Room 1 – “the habitat of wonders”: an exhibition that invites you to explore a plant universe in full transformation, where shapes, colors and textures flourish in an enchanting abundance. It is a true celebration of wonder, in the heart of an imaginary garden.
You will have the opportunity to discover the poetic world of seven ceramicists who reinvent plants through surprising metamorphoses.
Each artist takes you on a dreamlike journey, bringing L'Habitat des Merveilles to life. This experience opens the doors to a sensitive world, where contemplation reveals a beauty that is both mysterious and intimate.
Room 2 – “the belly of the earth”: In line with some of the work that we have each carried out on our own in recent years, for this project we wanted to explore in more depth a subject that is close to our hearts: the incredible creative and benevolent power of the feminine, as well as its connection with the earth and the plant world.
This theme constitutes the common thread of our research.
We approached this experience by reflecting on what breathes and grows in the shadow of women's bellies and the earth, on the intimate and the exposed, on what is above and below, on what patiently abounds, multiplies and proliferates, far from view and in silence, before germinating, emerging, being born and rising.
We have constantly meditated on this passage, from inside to outside, from the formless to the form, from the invisible to the visible, a process which is in reality that of creation, leading from nothingness to life.
What material could be better suited to explore shadow and light, secrecy and transformation than earth? We chose to combine several types of clay, such as stoneware and porcelain, while considering occasionally combining them with other materials such as wire, paper and textile.
