Exposition " Schmilblick "

Wednesday April 23 at 10:00 p.m.
Musée de l'Abbaye Place Saint-Michel 81600 Gaillac
Gizmos, thingamajigs, bitonials… So many mysterious objects whose use has faded over time. This exhibition, from the collections of the Abbey Museum, brings back to life these curiosities of yesteryear with their astonishing shapes and functions.
Invented by Pierre Dac in the 1950s, the Schmilblick is an object that serves no purpose… and therefore a bit of everything! Unlike it, the objects presented in this exhibition have a very specific function, which we invite you to rediscover.

Kitchen utensils, wine-making tools... each piece bears witness to know-how and the evolution of our lifestyles. A fun investigation to unravel their mysteries and question the role of the museum: guardian of memory and witness to the passing of time.

For children, a mystery game will be ready for you upon your arrival so you can have fun discovering these mysterious objects.
