39ème Festival L'Eté de Vaour

Since 1986, the small village of Vaour and its inhabitants have welcomed thousands of spectators of all ages every year to live performances: circus, puppets, theatre, street arts, etc., and free concerts in a friendly atmosphere.
The visual for this 39th edition marks a new collaboration. It is designed by illustrator and screen printer Jean Mosambi.
The Vaour Summer Festival was originally a burlesque theater festival held in early August in the Tarn countryside. Romain Bouteille, Yolande Moreau, and Marc Jolivet all performed on stage at Vaour Summer in the 80s, which gave the event great notoriety from the very beginning.
The artistic line expanded in the 2000s – rural comedies, tragicomedies, theater, circus, clown, mime, object theater, music, dance, street performances, concerts – L'été de Vaour has become a festival where all artistic aesthetics are represented.
Eclecticism is a key element. This is primarily due to the multidisciplinary programming, but also to the diversity and mix of audiences. The encounter between generations and different socio-professional backgrounds is a sign of openness and conviviality.
Since 2011, the association has been working to provide the greatest possible accessibility to all populations interested in culture. To this end, it has developed a coherent and mindful pricing policy and created a fair balance between the offering of paid and free shows.
Furthermore, L'été de Vaour continues to rely on the three pillars that have forged its reputation: artistic quality, laughter and its village environment.
