Set out on the roads, by bike!

Going for a bike ride, life is so sweet (especially when effort is not a priority!). Whether it's to a fortress in the woods or one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, the treasured bastides of the Tarn where you can enjoy the laid-back atmosphere, you'll always discover surprises.

Take an electric bike to climb to our hilltop towns of Castelnau and Puycelsi

Depart from Gaillac in the morning. On your electric bike, ride to Castelnau-de-Montmiral, which proudly overlooks the Tarn valley.

The main square with its corbel vaults, the church with its Montmiral reliquary cross, the town hall and the 17th-century Bozat house, so many medieval gems to explore! As well as the stunning view over the Forêt de Grésigne and the Gaillac vineyards.

Your excursion continues towards the old citadel of Puycelsi, which seems to appear as if by magic from the heart of the forest. Standing on its rocky outcrop, it offers one of the most breathtaking views of the region. In its narrow streets are lined with charming 14th- and 15th-century stone houses with terracotta tile rooves, you're sure to find something to enjoy in one of the town's restaurants.
