We take you on a timeless getaway! Imagine yourself at the wheel of a legendary 2CV, the purr of the engine mingling with the sweet sounds of the Gaillac countryside. With your hair blowing in the wind, you are transported to the heart of the hillsides of the Gaillac vineyard.

Between Gaillac vineyards and exceptional heritage
Once the 2CV is launched, time stretches to reveal magnificent landscapes. Proudly standing fortified towns and medieval villages dot the hills of Gaillac. The weather is mild, the sun caresses the sunflowers in the surrounding fields, the air is filled with reverie. The vineyards, as far as the eye can see, seem to blend into the undulating curves of the Gaillac hillsides. The wine estates are dotted along the ride and the temptation to taste Gaillac wines becomes irresistible.
Tasting at the winemaker
At the end of the morning, we head to the Château de Mayragues for a journey back to the time of knights in armor. The building, a former fortified house founded in the 12the century, and its fully restored dovecote are listed as Historic Monuments. The panorama is grandiose, the castle is majestic with its corbelled patrol path overlooking a magnificent garden.
Welcome to Alan, Laurence and Duncan Geddes. They will let you taste their wines, cultivated biodynamically since 1999, in the heart of the winery. They will tell you the history of the castle and the passion they put into its restoration, to make it regain all its majesty!
As there is no shortage of wine estates in our region, you will be able to discover many other winegrowers during your stroll through our vineyards, at the wheel of your 2CV. Between anecdotes and the history of wine heritage, they will share with you their shared passion, Gaillac wine.
For this, the Winegrower's pass will be your best ally for exclusive meetings in the heart of our partner areas.

Gourmet stop in Castelnau-de-Montmiral
On the way to conquer the village of Castelnau-de-Montmiral! Legend has it that the name comes from the "Mont d'où l'on vois", recalling the history of this fortified town that resisted the English during the Hundred Years' War. Lose yourself in its maze of flowery streets and alleys and head to the Place aux Arcades, a central and intimate place, to enjoy a small glass of Gaillac in the shade of the arcades.
We recommend a gourmet break at the Auberge des Arcades, to taste the cuisine of Chef Julien Bourdariès. Prepared using seasonal market produce, his cuisine with a taste of the South-West will thrill your taste buds!
Puycelsi, a village perched in the heart of the forest
To complete the journey, set off to conquer Puycelsi, our fortress in the woods, classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France. To discover this enchanted village, you have to earn it and climb gently, with your 2 CV, the hill that leads there. The feeling is unique when you see it, proudly perched on its imposing rock. Set there, in the middle of the Grésigne forest, surrounded by 800 meters of ramparts, it offers one of the most beautiful views of the region and surely the most beautiful spot for a sunset over the valley!
Its secret alleys, its stone houses from the 14the and 15e century are an invitation to contemplation, to letting go.
