Here are the three hikes to do from Cordes sur Ciel and its surroundings. We've selected them for you because each one offers breathtaking views of the medieval city. Depending on the time you leave, you might be lucky enough to admire the hilltop city suspended above the clouds. Or, contemplate the late afternoon lights on the old stones of the city. These hiking trails are available all year round.

Salt Grain Path
This loop offers magnificent views of Cordes and the Cérou valley dominated by the Ségala highlands. In spring and autumn, the light plays with the variations in colour of the vegetation and the ground, offering contrasts and atmospheres characteristic of this sector.

02

Lacapelle Sainte-Lucie Circuit
From the hills of Mouzieys-Panens, the northern profile of Cordes is impressive: the medieval town stretches out like a sleeping dragon above the Cérou valley, imbuing the walker with its presence, who is just waiting for the moment when the silhouette of the town reappears around a bend.

03

It is said that the village of Cordes sur Ciel is as breathtaking from the inside as it is from outside the ramparts! The beauty of its Gothic residences rivals the panoramic views that can be had of the city from the surrounding hills. The profile of Cordes is never the same depending on the angle of view and the time of day.
