A full-day, electrically assisted mountain bike route on small country roads. On the agenda: a lunch break and beer tasting at Cordes sur Ciel followed by a visit to a cheese factory in Tonnac.
What I like about this circuit is that we have both the limestone side of Cordes sur Ciel, the mountain on the Aveyron side and the Grésigne forest.

Step 1
Milhars – Ropes on the sky
From Milhars, the route takes you to the village of Le Riols, with its remarkable hamlet, Ratayrens, located on the banks of the Aveyron. Via small shaded roads, you will reach Mouzies-Panens on the heights. From there, you will see Cordes-sur-Ciel during the entire descent, until arriving at the foot of the medieval city.
Step 2
Ropes on sky
Arrived at the foot of the city, put down the bikes to climb on foot to the top of the city of Cordes sur ciel and enjoy your stroll through the medieval streets to meet the merchants. For lunch, we go back down to pick up the bikes and head to the Auros brewery with food trucks open from spring to fall. This is the opportunity to taste their delicious beers and other craft drinks!

Step 3
Tonnac: wine and cheese
In the afternoon you can admire Cordes-sur-Ciel from the southern slopes of the city. Along the vineyards, you will reach Vindrac before beginning a shaded climb towards Tonnac. From there, Cordes sur Ciel appears again on your right, in the middle of the hills. In front of you, the hills of Marnave appear, with their green forests. You can go down to Bourguet Castle or head straight to the cheese factory The Rivet cow farm : this is an ideal break to discover their farm and taste their delicious cheeses!
Step 4
Back to Milhars

To finish, you will take a long winding descent, with clear views of Milhars and the start of the Aveyron gorges. You are back in Milhars, after a day rich in very diverse landscapes.
Prepare your exit
This mountain bike route is offered by Fabrice des Nids de Bonnan in Milhars. If necessary, rent your equipment directly in his shop, next to the starting point of the circuit.
