This mountain bike trail with a nice positive elevation gain will take you through the vineyards, the forest of Sivens and Puycelsi, the Most Beautiful Villages in France. Along the way, take the opportunity to meet local artisans.
Step 1
From Lisle-sur-Tarn
In the Tarn plain, you'll begin your warm-up leisurely amidst the vineyards before tackling the first hillsides. You'll cross the Tescou River, giving you the chance to cool off in the river. Then you'll head into the Sivens forest, home to a diverse range of flora and fauna: oaks, chestnut trees, hornbeams, and a few conifers.
We keep up the pace to reach the village of Puycelsi via Laval and its old stone bridge from the Gallo-Roman era.
At the foot of Puycelsi, catch your breath: the last effort to reach the wooden fortress.
Step 2
The (well-deserved) break
Visit the village of Puycelsi, its narrow streets and stone facades. A village full of charm and surprises.
To discover all the secrets of this Most Beautiful Village in France, come and see us at the tourist office located in the heart of the village.
Step 4
Back to Lisle-sur-Tarn
After this know-how break, there are around twenty kilometers left uphill and downhill through the woods to reach Vélos de Léonce and drop off your bikes.
A great day of sports that ends on the arcaded square of Lisle-sur-Tarn. In high season, enjoy the shaded terraces.
Prepare your exit
This mountain bike route is offered by Jean-François from Vélos de Léonce. If necessary, rent your equipment directly from his shop, at the starting point of the circuit.
