Chateau de Mauriac
Discovery, Heritage

Guinguette au château à Mauriac.

Duration 1 day / night
Enjoy a timeless day in a timeless setting. You will spend with the family of the chatelains, who will tell you with tenderness and their lives at the castle for decades.

Afterwards, enjoy a musical feast in the ballroom, followed by an afternoon of dancing.

10:00 - Welcome to the castle by the chatelain, Emmanuel Bistes.
You'd think you were dreaming, it's so beautiful and imposing... You arrive in front of the edifying castle of Mauriac, whose restoration work dates back more than fifty years and was carried out by members of the same family: the Bistes. Once upon a time, Bernard Bistes was driving his gleaming 2CV through the Gaillac vineyards, admiring the magnificent landscapes of the Tarn region.
And suddenly, Bim, Bam, Boum ... and it's the case to say it, he stumbled upon the castle of Mauriac or at least what remains of it since its foundation in the 13th
century. It's love at first sight, he thinks about it over and over again, dreams about it at night... In short, he manages to convince his wife and takes her and their children on this incredible adventure.
You will be captivated by the story told by his son Emmanuel, who will recount with verve and passion the film of the gigantic works that never ended, the doubts, the explosions of joy. Finally, the life of today's castle is well deserved, even if the restoration work continues unabated. During your visit, you'll be able to admire the magnificent ceilings and walls painted by Bernard Bistes, the atypical furnishings and decor, meticulous attention to the smallest details, as well as the many internationally-renowned paintings that divinely immortalise the flowers in the garden.
the flowers of the Gaillac countryside.

12:30 - Ladies and Gentlemen are served! It's time to settle down in the castle's dining room to enjoy a lunch prepared with delicious local produce and washed down with Gaillac wines.
As the coffee is served, the music starts...
A waltz to open the ball, of course, then the dances follow on to the rhythms of chacha, paso doble, tango, marches... Not forgetting the line dances
tarantella, madison, kumbia, kuduro...
In a timeless setting, you'll spend an afternoon in good spirits, singing and dancing to the lively rhythms of DJ
Emmanuel.
